Darning Mushrooms - Spanish Chestnut

Handmade in Caherdaniel by wood turning specialist Joe (@joe.lidstone), these vintage style darning mushrooms are hand turned from Spanish Chestnut. The Spanish Chestnut comes from trees that are felled during ecological forest management in Derrynane Woods on the Wild Atlantic Way, County Kerry, Ireland. The beauty of these beautiful trees is captured in the darning mushrooms. For those wanting to darn or fix little holes in clothing, particularly wool and stretch fabrics these darning mushrooms are an essential sewing kit must have. We have a blog on 'darning' coming soon so keep an eye out for that. 14cm high and 8cm diameter.
